What the service does
Decadify takes a photograph you provide and produces a stylised image in the visual language of 1980s photography. The output is generated automatically — by a third-party AI image model where one is configured, or by a filter running in your own browser where one is not.
Who may use it
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the service with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
Photos you upload
You may only upload photographs that you have the right to use. In particular, you must not upload:
- photographs of another person without their permission;
- photographs of anyone under 18;
- content that is sexual, violent, hateful, harassing or otherwise unlawful;
- content that infringes someone else’s copyright or trademarks.
You keep all rights you hold in your own photograph. You grant us only the limited permission needed to process it and produce your result.
Your results
You may download, use and share the images you generate, including commercially, subject to the rules of the platform you post them on. You are responsible for how you use them. Do not present a generated image as a genuine historical photograph of a real event, and do not use one to mislead, impersonate or defame anyone.
AI output is unpredictable
Generated images can be inaccurate, distorted or unexpected, and may reflect biases present in the underlying model. We do not review output before you see it and we make no promise that a result will resemble you, match a particular decade, or be fit for any purpose. Generation results vary and are not reproducible.
Free daily allowance
Anonymous visitors may generate 1 image per day; signed-in users may generate 5 images per day. Anonymous results carry a watermark. Limits are applied per account and per IP address, reset daily, and exist to keep the service available to everyone. We may change them, and we may block traffic that abuses the service or attempts to circumvent the limits.
Availability
The service is provided free of charge and on an as-is basis. We do not guarantee that it will be available, uninterrupted, or that stored results will be kept forever. Result pages may be removed at any time.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service, including loss of data, loss of profit, or damage to reputation. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Third-party models and trademarks
Decadify is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by OpenAI or any other AI model provider, and it does not grant you any rights in their trademarks or technology.
Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised version.
